Hi, and thanks for taking the time to read my introduction post. In this post I'll introduce myself, tell you what I do, and what drives me to create this blog.
My name is Yordi Pauptit. I'm twenty-four years old, and I live in the oldest city in the Netherlands, Nijmegen. I'd like to think of myself as a software engineer, even though I probably do more than just that.
As of July this year, I started working for a contractor in Rotterdam. The main thing I do for my clients is the development of PHP applications. Besides that, setting up environments for test automation is something I've been doing recently.
What interests me in software engineering is far more than just software engineering itself. As for software engineering itself, I've been discovering hexagonal architecture lately, and I plan to write a post on it in the foreseeable future. Other things I have a keen interest in are ways to run docker containers in production, preferably in a high availability setup. Which is why I occasionally spin up a cluster, and figure out how to set up a production-ready cluster securely.
The reason to create this blog is to share what I think is awesome in software engineering, and hopefully to help you set up the best environment possible. Of course everything I write on this blog is what I think is right. If you find anything that is not (entirely) correct, or should be done otherwise, please let me know in the comments. No one is ever done learning, and certainly not me.
I hope you enjoy my blog!
